Intranasal Flu immunisation - Friday 22nd November 2024

The School Nursing Service will be visiting the school to offer pupils a nasal flu spray vaccine on Friday 22nd November 2024.

The NHS recommends that your child has a flu vaccination every year.

It’s very important to protect your child from flu to make sure they stay as healthy as possible. The best flu vaccine for most children is a nasal spray. This is the vaccine that will be given on the day.

The online consent form and additional information can be found here: Click Here

To help make sure the vaccine is suitable for your child, and they don’t miss out, please take time to read the information and follow the link to complete the electronic consent form as soon as possible, before the planned vaccination date, no later than 48 hours before the above date. Any consent forms submitted after this time may result in your child not receiving their vaccine on the day.

Should you have any difficulties accessing the above link, please contact 01633 431685 for further support.

HPV Vaccine - Wednesday 25th June 2025

The School Nursing Service will be visiting the school on 25/06/2025 to offer pupils in Year 8 the Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
Having the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine is important to prevent a range of cancers and genital warts. Getting the vaccine now protects your child against future risks, protection from the vaccine is better when it is given at an earlier age.

Please ensure you return your child’s consent form to the school when you receive the information pack. Alternatively, you can download the HPV consent form and print off at home.
It is normal for your child to have some worries about having a vaccine.  There is lots of support available to help them manage these worries and be able to cope with having the vaccination here: https://buff.ly/4uVr3om
